The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services to your community.

SASSA will likely be rendering services for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency said it can be alarmed about the superior number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some significant number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no totally functional office devoted to service the area each day. The service stage developed for intervention encounters a large influx of possible beneficiaries, which makes it difficult with the Workplace to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more resources to enable website the servicing of all shoppers and enhance use of Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
